Capture when hands, sight or movement make scanning harder
Use manual photo, uploads, support surfaces and larger controls without losing extraction features.
About 4 minutes
Step by step
Follow the safe route
- 1
Choose Take a photo instead of automatic capture when a steadiness timer creates pressure.
- 2
Place the document flat and rest the phone or your elbows on a stable surface.
- 3
Use the device camera’s zoom only enough to make the document readable without cutting edges.
- 4
Ask a trusted person to take the photo, then upload it from the gallery if that is easier.
- 5
Use the preview and retake controls before saving.
Helpful tips
- All three capture methods enter the same extraction workflow. Accessibility choices do not reduce the record’s status.
Questions people ask
What should I use if my hands shake?
Use Take a photo with the normal device shutter, rest the phone on a support, or ask someone to take the photo and upload it. You do not lose extraction features by avoiding automatic capture.
