Getting started
Start here: choose the right Capshur space
Understand Work, My Business and Personal before you capture anything.
About 3 minutes
Step by step
Follow the safe route
- 1
Use Work for evidence connected to an employer, manager, shift, job or workplace.
- 2
Use My Business for private self-employed costs, sales evidence, tax-year organisation and VAT review.
- 3
Use Personal for purchases, warranties, returns, repairs and proof of ownership.
- 4
Check the selected space before saving. A record should begin in one space so its visibility and purpose are unambiguous.
- 5
Use a controlled copy or sharing flow later instead of changing a private record into workplace evidence silently.
Helpful tips
- A user may use more than one space. The spaces are privacy boundaries, not permanent identities.
- When uncertain, save privately first and add the purpose before sharing.
Important boundaries
- An employer must not gain access to My Business or Personal records merely because the same person also uses Capshur for work.
Questions people ask
What if I captured something in the wrong space?
Do not silently change who can see it. Use a controlled move or copy flow that records the change and preserves the original privacy history.
Can all features be used on phone, tablet and desktop?
Core capture, review, search and help are designed for all three. Camera capture is naturally phone-first, while company reporting and Gatehouse controls are usually easier on a larger screen.
