Capture and scanning
Review information extracted from a scan
Compare the original with machine suggestions and confirm only what you can see.
About 5 minutes
Step by step
Follow the safe route
- 1
Open Scan Review after processing finishes.
- 2
Compare the original image or PDF with each suggested field.
- 3
Correct merchant, date, total, VAT, payment method and item lines where needed.
- 4
Mark unreadable evidence or request a retake instead of guessing.
- 5
Confirm the reviewed values. Capshur keeps the original, machine suggestion and human-confirmed result separately.
Helpful tips
- Start with low-confidence fields and totals.
- Check whether the date is the transaction date, order date or print date.
- For VAT, confirm that the document itself contains the necessary invoice details.
Important boundaries
- Machine extraction is assistance, not a legal or accounting decision. Never confirm a value simply because the scanner suggested it.
Questions people ask
What if the scanner reads the total or date incorrectly?
Correct it in Scan Review while looking at the original. Capshur keeps the machine suggestion and your confirmed value separately.
Can extracted data replace the original file?
No. The original evidence should be immutable. Machine suggestions and human corrections are additional layers with their own timestamps.
